Folsom Street

Situated in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood, this century-old industrial warehouse required structural updates to meet the needs of a new tenant in the technology sector. We worked to implement concrete and steel improvements to the original 1906 construction while honoring the building's legacy as a space for making by maintaining a flexible, open floor plan. With an original footprint that sat 4 feet below street level, we raised the floor height using wood framing and poured concrete. Original wood supports were replaced with steel posts and beams with angled columns for added support. From here, we installed skylights, bathrooms, a conference room, phone rooms and kitchen to accommodate the daily operations of a growing team.
