Chicoskie Residence

2016 | DALLAS, TX | 4260 SQ FT

This ground-up construction was the result of a collaborative partnership between our founder and two longtime friends -- Colin Brice of New York-based design and architecture studio Mapos, and the client. To create the structure of this Dallas residence, our team utilized structural insulated panels (SIPs), a high-performance building system that provides optimal insulation. Kitchen, living and dining areas are seamlessly connected in the ground floor interior in a fluid open plan joined by a wood panel ceiling that is continuous throughout the space.

Mixed Media

The home's main structure is composed of multiple volumes accented with colored cedar, stucco, glass, steel and bamboo, an eclectic combination that is further complemented by an attached brick garage. Using minimal, rectilinear forms with an innovative mix of accents and finishes, the residence exemplifies contemporary design softened through a considered use of color and texture.
